Say it ain't so....4 and 5 Months

Per usual, I am behind in blogging. Truth be told, I really am not a fan of blogging when I am doing it, but I like it after making a post for memento sake! Today, October 20th, marks Grayson's five month birthday....say what?!!

Where has the time gone?? A little recap of what is going on in his world:
- He still has reflux...wah wah! BUT I hear it is peaking and I can sure tell! I am so READY for him to be over this. However, even though the poor baby hurts from time to time, you would never know it! He is SO happy and has the cutest personality.

Back to Chicago

Chicago - 28th Floor
First time to try rice cereal

- Speaking of personality, he LOVES to laugh and many people call him a little flirt... Ladies, look out!
- He will not stay on his back, he immediately rolls to his tummy, but for some reason is boycotting rolling back over to his tummy. He used to do it all the time and now I think he has only rolled over once this month from tummy to back.
- He just started scooting backwards.... it is very interesting!

What a cutie!

- He naps in his crib. We are working on him going to sleep by himself (aka crying it out from time to time) and staying asleep for longer than 30 minutes. I mean he REALLY is not a napper. But, he does go to bed around 830 and wake up around 8, so I cannot complain.
- He still sleeps in his rock n play (a God sent gift!) because of his reflux. I think it makes him sleep better elevated. Around 6 months, we are going to make the big move to his crib. For now, he is just going to get lots of practice napping there. However, the catch is that we lay him down in his crib and wake him up for his last feeding (well, he actually never really wakes up) around 10/1030 and then move him to his rock n play, so hopefully when we make the big move it will be easy or easier.

Cheering on runners in the Chicago Marathon

- He eats every 3 hours, about 5-6.5 ounces each time.
- He started solids and has had oatmeal, cereal, multi-grain cereal, butternut squash and bananas. So far I am making his food, but I have heard that I should not make some foods due to the chemicals.
- Lastly, my baby boy has a tooth coming in! I discovered one day before he turned 5 months. It makes me cry thinking he is getting so big!

Trying to sit up

That about wraps it up for Grayson Michael. We love him so much!!!!!!!!!

We Love SMU!

This past weekend our family of 3 traveled to Dallas to see friends and family and to go to our first SMU game of the 2012 season. We had so much fun at the game and on the blvd. Yes, SMU did lose....surprise, surprise; but, let's be serious we don't go to SMU games for the game, we go for the tailgate. Many people from Dallas who did not even go to SMU go to the blvd. To help you get the picture, it is like The Grove at Ole Miss. One long stretch of a beautiful tree lined drive, with lots of music, bands, smokers, beer and fun! Grayson did great at the tailgate; he did not even cry a peep. We can't wait to go back for homecoming in October. Pony Up!

Go Ponies!

Grayson before the game - excuse the bib, the little guy drools and spits up ALL the time!

A Family Affair - Maddi is a sophomore there - Maybe the boys will be Mustangs too! Truthfully, we do not care, we just want them to be happy! Gunner, will prob go to Vandy (Vanderbilt - LOVE that school too) and Garret, maybe TCU, Baylor, Ole Miss - who knows!)

Grayson turned 2 Months... AND 3 Months

On July 20th, Grayson turned 2 months old and today, August 20th, he turned 3 months old! I cannot believe he is already 3 months old and we have to go back to Chicago in one month (I really don't wanna' go). It has been so nice being close to family and in warm weather, but it is okay only 1 year left; I can do it! Okay, so what has Grayson been up to since turning 2 months.

He loves bath time and being naked - funny how he used to hate bath time and being naked...

Pretty much your ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing is to see how far you can jam your whole fist into your mouth - 23 hours a day...

He still eats every 3 hours and sleeps about 9 hours a night (he has been doing that since he was about 8 weeks. He still spits ALL the time and his reflux is getting worse, but I hear it is supposed to peak at 4 months (here's to hoping!). So, to help his reflux, I have been adding rice cereal to his formula in the afternoons, when it seems to bother him most. Also, the Dr. gave me Zantac but I have only given it to him a few times. For some reason, I am so timid about giving him medicine. I am still holding out until he can't take it anymore. He is still lactose intolerant, but it's no biggie right not since he is on hypoallergenic formula. He smiles, squeels/screams, and coos a lot. We have only gotten a chuckle out of him, no laughs yet, but I am sure that will be coming soon.

Bentlie Belle and Grayson Napping - He still sleeps in his Rock n' Play. This thing is a life saver since he has reflux

Going on a run with mom

I sent this pic to my mom and sis  with the caption "I'm sexy and I know it".... HA oh the faces he makes after eating!

We took a trip to Galveston and he hung out on the deck, with his playmat. He loved napping out there listening to the ocean.

 Fussy time!

He has rolled over from tummy to back 4 times, but he has not done it in a week or so. Everything is on his terms and his time. Speaking of tummy, the kid HATES tummy time! I am not sure why, but he really does not enjoy it. Below is him rolling over, not great quality...

He has found his little toesies!

He went to his first baseball game!

 Rode his first tractor

He has started enjoying his swing and he loves to listen to music and for me to read him books.

It is so crazy to see how much he has grown, but I love every second finding out more about little Grayson.

Grayson at 3 months!

10 Year Reunion

Wow...boy does time fly?! A few weekends ago, I had my 10 year reunion and it was a blast. The people who put the event on did a great job. It was open bar, with food provided, they also had a photo booth, karaoke and a DJ (that played LOTS of old school jams). It was so nice to see people I had not seen in 10 years. Even with Facebook, you can see what people are doing, but it is so nice to talk to them face to face and catch up.

It is really hard to imagine that 10 years ago I graduated high school and since then have graduated college, gotten a masters, married the man of my dreams, had a baby and moved to Chicago. It is crazy to think that all of that happened in 10 years, I can't wait to see what the next 10 years has in store.

** I was doing so good about taking pics...and then my camera died; so here are the ones I was able to capture;). Oh, and for some reason we did not take a class pic - we should have totally done that. Next time, in 10 years!
