6 Months...No Way!

On November 20th, our sweet baby boy turned 6 months and since then he has been quite the man on the move! We went to the doctor and he weighed 16 pounds 3 oz (25%) and was 26.75 inches long (70%). I think he is trending to be tall and lean like his daddy. Our poor baby had to get shots and we are going back tomorrow to get his flu shot! So sad; he hates them and I hate them too!

So, what has he been doing. The months are really starting to blend together so I am going try my best to remember what all has happened.
This is why he cannot sleep in his rock n play anymore

LOVE lunch time
  • Eats 5 times a day (5-7 ounces)
  • Still a pretty bad napper and WAS a good sleeper!
  • He transitioned from his rock n play to the play pen but still naps in his crib. You may ask why is your child not in his crib...well bc we are ALWAYS on the move. We moved from Chicago to Houston when he was 3 and half weeks old, came back to Chicago when he was 4 months old, were in Houston for a week and half over Thanksgiving and now will be back in Texas for 3 weeks over the holidays... So, we have had to keep his beds constant, even though his rooms are different. All in all, I would say he is a VERY good traveler and great baby for all of the shuffle in his life. I am sure he will just be getting settled in Chicago when we pick up and move back to Texas permanently.
  • He sort of crawls - he does the typical crawl about 3-4 knee/arm moves and then army crawls and then goes back to crawling.
  • Sits up by himself
  • Pulls up on things - he thinks he is such a big boy that he can stand up in his crib. Speaking of, we put his bumpers back up bc he has fallen so many times and hit his head. I swear it does not even phase him, but it scares me!
  • LOVES walks - we try to take them everyday, weather pending
  • Sleeping - you go to bed around 730-8 and wake up between 7-8 (waking up 3-4 times a night right now, but we are letting you put/cry yourself back to sleep)
  • Flirt, flirt flirt - in crowds he loves to smile at people
  • babbles - no dada's, lots of hehe and goga and ewwe's
  • Eat three times a day. Love green foods! You are like your mama, there is not a veggie I don't like:)
  • Love puffs
  • Love tags...I really need to cut them off of everything!
You are still changing so much on a weekly basis! It is so fun to see you grow and we love love being your parents!

Holiday Wine Exchange

This past week, I hosted a Holiday Wine Exchange for just ladies! We had a blast and I think it is something that I will continue to do in the future when we move back to Houston. Basically, I just asked everyone to bring one bottle of wine, wrapped/packaged between $15-$25 (it needed to be a wine that they really liked and might be someone's new go to wine for the non-special occasions) and then we drew numbers and whatever number you drew that is the bottle you went home with.

It was so much fun and great to catch up with some ladies that I had not seen in a while! I also just made some fun desserts! Check out the pics below. As usual...thank you Pinterest!

Even though it was just ladies...my special little man did make an appearance

6 Month Photos

Over Thanksgiving we also had Grayson's 6 month photos taken. They turned out great! We had them done by Allison Craig, she is the sis-in-law of one my best friends and she did a great job! Thank you so much http://www.lentillephotography.com/

Thanksgiving and Festival of Lights

Why hello?! Get ready for some blog posts overload (by overload I mean 3 or 4 new posts!). On Nov. 20th our sweet baby hit the 6 month mark (post coming soon over that)! I cannot believe he is half way to his first birthday; time is flying!

Before we left to go back South, we went the annual Festival of Lights parade in Chicago. This is where they have a parade and light the lights and tree on Michigan ave. We had a lot of fun, but jetted out early because it was packed (I felt like every child in Chicago under the age of 5 was there). On the way back Grayson rode in a cab for his first time...he truly is a little city baby or a baby on the go!
He just needs to travel by boat, train and bus and he will officially have ridden on all modes of major transportation... (I think we can make that happen in Chicago).
In the cab

I can't handle his baby Uggs...they look like little mountain man boots! Too cute!

Watching the parade with daddy

We had an awesome view...

For Thanksgiving we headed down to Texas to celebrate Turkey day. Of course our little angel had to fly yet again...he is really logging the airline miles these days;) We flew into Houston and celebrated Thanksgiving there with my family and Matt's family and then headed back to Dallas to see the other side of my family. We have so much to be thankful for this year (well every year), but are so thankful for our healthy and fun baby boy!
Had to do a little more entertaining this go round!
