3 Year Anniversary

Matt and I celebrated 3 years of marital bliss on January 16th!! I am so happy to be his wife. He makes me so happy everyday and I love him more than he will truly ever know. We have been so blessed with such a great marriage, great friendship and a great son! I can honestly say I know this is person that God intended for me to be with and this is the person that my parents prayed for and who I prayed for to be my spouse!

I love you MTS!

NYE and Post Christmas Fun

After Christmas we headed to Monroe, Louisiana to see my grandparents and we finally got to meet my cousin's precious little girl Riley! She is so cute.

In Monroe, we lounged while the boys went duck hunting and really just hung out with family that we do not get to see often.
Grayson with Meme and PaPa
After getting back to Sugar Land, we turned around the next day and drove to S. Texas to a family friends AWESOME ranch, called Rancho Estrella. We had the best time. There was actually another baby there, Jack (super cute), so Grayson got to ring in the new year with a new friend!

The Tigers played...and the Tigers lost....

On the way to RE we picked up a little gas station treasure - yes, that is a onesie from a gas station and that does say "Future Muy Grande Legend"
So, after driving to Dallas from Chicago, traveling to Houston then to  Louisiana and back - then to S. Texas (40 miles away from the Mexican border), back to Houston, back to Dallas and eventually back to Chicago all in 3 weeks and by CAR - we are more than thrilled to be back and have some consistency in our lives.

We really were blessed with an AMAZING 2012 and I cannot wait to see what 2013 has in store for us. God is so good!!!

7 and 8 Months

I love doing his monthly posts because it really does give me a way to look back and check out what he was doing from month to month. He is so much fun and really does grow each day and learns something new each week. We are so blessed to have this little kiddo!

So, I am not sure when he started doing different things, but below is where he is at now:
  • Eats 5 times a day 6-7 ounces each ( I think I am going to work on getting him down to 4x day at 8 ounces, but we will see) - he calls the shots;)
  • Eats lots of solid foods - vegetables are still his favorite. He really is not a huge fan of fruits, I am not really sure why. We mix in small bites of solid food with baby food. This is working great for us right now and it is great transition to more solid foods for Grayson.
  • He was on Alimentum, but I wanted to see if he could handle Soy and he can, so I am going to try and get him on regular formula to see if he has kicked the lactose intolerance issue. We will never know unless we try, but I am praying that he is done with it!
  • He says Mama, HeHe, Baba, gaga, and doodoo and sometimes Da - but no dada yet. Also, when he says these things, he does not know that I am mama. Funny side story, my hubby's name is Matt and he said Ma (as in Matt not, Mama) so he is convinced he is just going to call him Matt instead of dad.
  • He is really not a fan of the sippy cup but he can use. He would honestly just like to remove all lids and then drink from them that way:)
  • He can almost wave - he does it down low
  • I have only seen him clap once - in time it will come
  • He pulls up and cruises on everything!!!!!
  • He crawls everywhere like a madman and he is fast! Baby proofing has already been in full effect
  • He loves watching Nick Jr.  - side note, does anyone else think it is weird that those are full grown adults singing on Yo Gabba Gabba or shows like it???!!! SO creepy!
  • He started swim lessons at Aquababies and loves it!
  • We start the Little Gym on Wed.
  • He has play dates with friends in the area - shout out to Logan E:)
  • He started sleeping in his room at 7 months and he FINALLY started sleeping through the night again...I am not sure what happened there for a good month and half.
  • He now has 8 teeth and 6 came at one time.... Poor baby
  • He still is not good at napping - 45 min to an hour max (maybe 3x day if we are lucky....)
  • He can throw a serious temper tantrum if he does not get his way.... oh Lordy!
  • And he caught his first serious cold with temps of 103.2 and throwing up (poor baby)

He does not quite understand the tee-ball concept yet.... but eating on things.... that IS something he understands

Sick with his first real virus:(

My fearless child who thinks he can walk. He literally just lunges at things without moving his feet.

That is all I can think of right now, but in general he is still a sweet and happy baby and just as cute as he can be.

XOXO,

Tiff

Baby's First Christmas

I'm Back! And by back I mean I think we have finally settled back in to Chicago from being gone for 3 weeks and then turning around to go back to Houston for The Peters' Wedding!

So, I realized that we probably did not have to get our child anything for Christmas because between all of his grandparents the kid made out like a bandit! JK! I LOVED setting up his presents from Santa and seeing his excitement that morning. I mean, maybe his excitement was from our excitement, but nonetheless it was EXCITING!

The first Christmas was spent at my Daddy's house in Rockwall! Pics below:

His faces are truly priceless!!!

The best part was eating paper! Yum!

The second Christmas was spent with Matt's parents and his great-grandmother in Mansfield (outside of Ft. Worth)

Santa....Is  that you?!

Again....this kid's faces! LOL!

This is probably my favorite picture! What a little sweetheart. Grayson and Ping!

After leaving the DFW area, we made our way to Houston, but before our 3rd Christmas we celebrated my birthday there by looking at Christmas lights! So much fun!

Christmas Eve...someone was playing Santa again!

Christmas Eve Service - we went early this year

Read the Night Before Christmas

Christmas Morning! He loves the car, but we had to leave it in Houston because we do not have room for it here and it is too cold!

And....I think he had had enough Christmas morning fun...

I loved getting to spend Christmas in Texas with all of our family. We are so blessed by their love and we cannot wait to move back:)
