9 and 10 months...time flies too fast!

How is Grayson already 10 and a half months??!!! :'( He is getting so big, so quick and it is crazy to see what he learns every week (I mean day!!!). So what has he been up to...I have the hardest time remembering, but here goes!

Not quite sure about this sticker...

over the pictures...

  • I think the biggest news is that he took his first solo steps on February 27th - just 7 days after he turned 9 months! Since then, he has been a baby on the move! He has slowly but surely been abandoning crawling.
  • At his 9 month appt he was 20 pounds and 29 inches long (approximately 50th percentile on both).
  • Sick files - he got the stomach bug twice in one month, also had a cold and a small ear infection at one time. The ear infection cleared up on its own, but we did discover the back molars are pushing in!
  • He still has only 8 teeth.
  • Tried to introduce regular formula again, but he is still lactose. Which, on this note is very weird, because he can seem to handle other dairy, but does not do well with whole milk.
  • He eats three meals a day and LOVES waffles and turkey/ham meat. He also loves chicken nuggets and fries (Of course he does; who doesn't?!)
  • He naps two times a day and goes to bed between 8 and 9
  • He gives kisses, hugs, high fives, claps and waves. He is still figuring out certain toys but I love to watch him figure them out.
  • He still just babbles - I have no idea what he is saying, but you definitely know that he is trying to tell you something by his frustration at times (screaming, grunting, face turning red...)
  • Loves puppies/dogs!
  • Is really into screaming when he gets excited...also into screaming when he gets mad (the tantrums have returned. whomp whomp!)
  • He has also developed a little bit of stranger danger - or more like I want my mom to be holding me for at least 5 minutes before you can pick me up. "I need to check you out and make sure you are okay... " This is not so awesome when we try to take you to the church nursery:/
  • That is all that I can think of for now:/
Just Playing
Swinging at the Park - we have to do something to get out of the house; even if there is STILL snow on the ground!

There was a small fire in our building - thank God everyone was okay and they got it out fast - but we did have to wait down in our lobby for a bit after waking grayson up from his nap and walking down 28 flights of stairs with a baby and a dog
St. Patty's Day in Chicago - they dye the river green

This month we have also been some traveling peeps! Grayson and I took a trip to Houston and then to Dallas to visit friends and family. In Houston, we house hunted (naturally), TOOK A TOUR OF HIS SCHOOL - yes, I said preschool - we are so excited that he will be a new student at St. Martin's Episcopal), and visited with family!

Nick and Sams Grill in Houston

Loving the extra room at Kiki and Tex's house!

Also loving the weather - we spent pretty much everyday outside! We took advantage of the warmer weather while in Texas!

Getting to ride his horse that he got for Christmas!
At Gunner and Garret's baseball game!

Meme and Pawpaw came to visit Sugar Land

Pictures before going back to Chicago

We came back to Chicago for 2 days and then were on our way to Dallas. This time I had Matt to travel with me, which is much easier than taking a baby solo on a flight for 3 hours!

At church - he was not loving the nursery this day
In Dallas we went the the Ft. Worth Zoo, Kylde Warren Park (great for kids if you have not been yet!) and visited lots of family and friends!

Aunt Maddi (JoJo) met us at the park!

Finally, we made it back to Chicago for Easter. New post coming soon!
LOVES him some bath time!

I can't believe that he will be 1 in a quick month and half! But, on the positive side, that just means we are getting closer to moving back to Texas!!

xoxo,
