10 Year Reunion

Wow...boy does time fly?! A few weekends ago, I had my 10 year reunion and it was a blast. The people who put the event on did a great job. It was open bar, with food provided, they also had a photo booth, karaoke and a DJ (that played LOTS of old school jams). It was so nice to see people I had not seen in 10 years. Even with Facebook, you can see what people are doing, but it is so nice to talk to them face to face and catch up.

It is really hard to imagine that 10 years ago I graduated high school and since then have graduated college, gotten a masters, married the man of my dreams, had a baby and moved to Chicago. It is crazy to think that all of that happened in 10 years, I can't wait to see what the next 10 years has in store.

** I was doing so good about taking pics...and then my camera died; so here are the ones I was able to capture;). Oh, and for some reason we did not take a class pic - we should have totally done that. Next time, in 10 years!

Fourth of July

For the Fourth, we went to the Houstonian during the day.  We were so excited to take Grayson to the pool for the first time, but unfortunately it ended up raining. However, we went back a few days later so he could get his feet wet for the first time.

Here is the cool guy sporting his shades, bib and paci! It does not get much cooler than this!

Later than evening we went to a friends house to celebrate. This guy was wore out and slept the whole time, even through the crazy neighborhood fireworks!

Texas Bound

This summer, our family will be "summering" in Texas... oh, how lovely does that sound;) We leave Chicago's best weather for Texas' worst weather; and then we go back to Chicago for their worst weather. BUT, I am not complaining, I am thrilled to get out of the Chi for a while. Since moving back to Texas, we have not been in one city for longer than a week, but as of this week, we will be in Houston until September with some random trips to Dallas and other places. Needless to say, I am excited to finally stay in one place for longer than a week.

Since we have been here Grayson has been growing up WAY too fast! In fact, he is going to be 2 months on Friday. I cannot believe it. Overall, he has been quite the good baby, minus his bouts of reflux that cause him some pain. Below are some recent pics (and not so recent) of what has been happening since we got here.

He finally LOVES bath time!

He is a Texas Ranger Fan - it even says Slataper on the back;)

Took his first dip in the pool at the Houstonian

The first swim wore him out!

First time in his Bumbo Chair - precious little thing!

Once we were in Houston, he got to meet Uncle Garret and

Father's Day

So, I am SUPER terrible at posting blogs, but I am going to do my best to catch people up to speed on what is happening with the Slatapers. This year was Matt's first Father's Day! We had a great time celebrating in Sugar Land with family. We did not do much other than hang around the house, because Grayson was only 3 weeks old. Matt got some new sunglasses from me and Grayson for his gift and he loved (obviously, becuase he picked them out;).
